Overall

Carnegie Math Pathways is a comprehensive courseware that addresses many of the efficacy, functionality, and systems criteria mentioned in the rubric. There appears to be limited customization regarding content and assessments. The reviewers welcome the upcoming product enhancements addressing equity and social justice indicated by the vendor. These enhancements, along with additional efficacy research, will be helpful for institutions as they consider the adoption of the product.

Keeping diverse audiences and their success in mind, Carnegie Math Pathways promotes personalization, frequent practice, and collaboration across modalities. The capabilities address the needs of primary stakeholders (learners and the instructor).

Although the courseware follows effective design guidelines, it seems that content is mostly presented in text format, i.e., visualization is limited. Furthermore, limited research exists for application in an online setting.
